Position: Consultant Cardiologist and Associate Professor

Dr Patel is a consultant cardiologist at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. His specialty and research interests are in cardiac devices, heart failure and cardio-oncology. He is an active educationalist and published 'Cardiology at its Core' in 2023, a book written specifically for trainees. He currently sits on the Education Committee for BCS. He is also subcommittee lead for Arrhythmia Alliance-Pace4Life (AA-P4L), a charitable organisation that sources, reconditions and distributes pacemakers to underdeveloped countries.
